Hi, I’m Joshua.
Owner of Joshua Rieth Photography, specializing in family and children’s portraits in Eminence and across the Louisville metro.
Here’s why I do this: when I was five years old, my dad passed away from a heart condition, and my brothers were only one and three at the time. The only family portrait we have with him was taken just two weeks before he died, and that photograph has become one of the most irreplaceable things our family owns.
After he passed, I don’t remember having many photographs of myself displayed on the walls, and looking back, I realize how much that matters. Children notice what is celebrated in their homes, even if they don’t have the words for it yet, and I don’t want any child to grow up without seeing visible proof that they are loved, valued and part of something important.
So when you work with me, you don’t leave with a collection of images to figure out on your own. You leave with finished artwork your kids will see every day as they grow up, on the wall, in the room and right where it belongs.

DOES THIS WORK FOR OUR WHOLE FAMILY?
Yes. Peak Colors is built for families, however many kids, whatever ages. Bring everyone.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Warm, fall-friendly colors work best against the leaves. Think rust, cream, olive, denim. I'll give you specific guidance at the consultation, but the short version is: layer up, wear something you can move in, and don't stress about matching perfectly.
MY KIDS WON'T SIT STILL. IS THAT OKAY?
That's kind of the point. This session moves at your family's pace, kids included. Running through leaves is part of it, not something we have to control.
